Winter Sports Round-Up

The winter sports season has wrapped up in the South Country Central School District with several high school athletes earning accolades. The district congratulates the following student-athletes:

Girls Track

Team: League 3 Championship, Second Place in the County

All-State, All-Federation: Ella Masem (1000m) and Nevaeh Pedraza (Long Jump)

All-Island: Ella Masem (600m) and Nevaeh Pedraza (55m)

All-County: Ella Masem (1000m) and Nevaeh Pedraza (Long Jump and the 55m)

County Champions: Ava Cooley, Shania Creary, Inocencia Rodriguez and Arielle Ross (4X200 Relay)

New Balance National High School Championships Qualifiers:

Ella Masem (800 meters), Jocelyn Fitzgerald (800 meters), Nevaeh Pedraza (60 meters), Ava Cooley, Nevaeh Pedraza, Inocencia Rodriguez, and Ella Masem (Sprint Medley Relay)
