Bellport High School celebrated Black History Month with a first-of-its-kind special assembly on Feb. 28. The assembly was led by members of the school’s Multicultural Student Association. It featured student dancers, singers and poets. The event also included a tribute to John Conquest, a longtime South Country School District administrator and football coach.
