The STEM instructional program in the South Country Central School District is a sequential K-12 continuum that provides the students with challenging, age-appropriate learning experiences in math and science.  Through project based learning and problem based learning strategies; instruction at all levels will include thorough exposure in the subject matter and its historical development, as well as training in the related process and research skills.

This website will serve as an avenue for students, teachers, and families to access lesson plans, support resources, activities, games, and any other information that promotes fun and engaging activities centered around Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Children are our future...

Every child at South Country Central School District has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. By believing in them as capable individuals we will help children to develop their potential. We will assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas.

Teach them well and let them lead the way...

South Country Central School District is a very diverse community that has a unique community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. Our role is to give children the tools with which to cultivate their own wealth of knowledge. To accomplish this goal, we will teach to the needs of each child so that all learners can feel capable and successful.

Show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride...

In showing children how to become responsible for themselves as well as their own learning, South Country Central School District will give them the tools to become successful in life, to believe in themselves, and to have pride in themselves.

Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be...

Teaching is a lifelong learning process of learning about new philosophies and new strategies, learning from the parents and community, learning from colleagues, and especially learning from the children. Children teach us to open our minds and hearts to the joys, the innocence, and the diversity of ideas in the world. They teach us that boundaries can be crossed, doors opened and ideas are boundless. Because of this, I will never forget how to smile with the new, cherish the old, and grow with the children.
